Founder Soke



Professor Soke Sefik Gülten 10th Dan (Ph.D.M.A)
Soke Sefik Gulten was born in 1965, in Istanbul. He started Martial Arts in 1979 with Taekwondo. In 1981, being a student of Grandmaster Ferhat Ozsert he passed on to Kyokushinkai Karate branch. In 1987 he chose to be in Ashihara Karate branch. He performed Ashihara Karate branch for 12 years. In 1999 he joined Kick Box studies. In 2001 he passed on to Goshinkaikan style. In 2004 he founded Wakazamurai Turkish Martial Arts
In 2005 he was designated as Grandmaster (Soke).

He has been Technical Committee Chairman of Ashihara Karate Branch of Turkish Martial Arts Federation as well as Province Representation.

In 2006 he started training Defence Group Command of Turkish Armed Forces and the Bordeaux Berets (Bordeaux Berets are affiliated with Special Operations Command in Turkish Armed Forces)

He made research on Japanese Culture and Martial Arts. He gathered his experiences in his book called “My Life Philosophy is a Budo” which was published in 2006.

In 2008, he was deemed to deserve the title of Professor within the World Martial Arts Organization.

He was chosen to be the President of Technical Training Committee of Europe, Turkey and neighbouring countries of the same Organization.

He is one of the founders of the World Budo Federation Soke (Founders) Committee and Turkish Martial Arts Association.

In 2012 he wrote a book “Warrior Way”.

In 2012 he wrote a book “Japanese Martial arts Terminology”

He established Ases Ottoman Martial Art Style at the beginning of 2013.
